I have sinned, you have sinned. We have all disobeyed God's perfect law which was given to the world - to make us aware of our sins - by Moses, and it was confirmed by Jesus in the Holy Bible.
1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Telling a lie is a sin, hating your brother is a sin, coveting is a sin, stealing is a sin, lusting is a sin, even the thought of foolishness is a sin and so is acting without faith. There are many, many more.
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
As we have sinned, we have become guilty. We cannot make it right by doing good deeds. Would a good judge find a murderer innocent because he done lots of good things to make up for it? No!
Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Our sins have earned us death and hell. We are guilty and the only thing that can save us from this is to pay the fine. The one fine needed to pay and deliver us from death is a perfect sacrifice.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We are unable to give this sacrifice ourselves as we are not perfect. There is only one perfect person who is capable of making this sacrifice: Jesus Christ, who lived an entirely sin-free life, he died on the cross to pay for our sins and three days later he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven.
1 John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
God came in the flesh because He loves sinners and wants us to be saved. He made Himself a perfect offering to save us. Jesus will freely pay our fine, there is only one thing we need to do: believe.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Simply believe on the Lord Jesus to save you from your sins and call on His name. God promised to save you by His grace. You will be born again by the Holy Spirit who will live in your heart and never die. Thank you so much for giving us this precious gift our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.
You can communicate with God by speaking to Him in prayer, and He will speak to you through His inspired word in the Holy Bible. God wrote the Bible for you: He knows what you will read, when you will read it, what you will think when you read it, how you will interpret it, and what you need.
John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth...the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
