Prayer for Richness

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for everything you have given us, physical and spiritual. You have been so generous giving us the generous gift of life and of salvation by your grace. Please continue to be our provider, equipping us with everything we need and reminding us not to trust in money or riches, which are fleeting and a pattern of this world, used by the enemy for so much evil. We would rather love you and hate money, serve you and despise wealth.

Please help us to be content with what you consider necessary for our spiritual prosperity. It may not be as much as we would always like, but we know everything you do works for the good of those who believe and having much wealth can be a trap. It means you want us to take a greater responsibility to care for the less fortunate and to give more. Help encourage us to share our increase with the poor cheerfully in your service and for us to use all we have to your glory.

Please give us your spiritual riches and blessings of knowledge, understanding and wisdom, as well as faith, and all the gifts of the Holy Spirit. All praise and glory to your precious name Lord Jesus.
