Heavenly Father,
Thank you for showing us the marvellous extent of your longsuffering, gentleness and goodness. You have been ever so patient, gentle and good towards us. We praise you for this and wish to honour you by reflecting this to the world through the Holy Spirit within us for the glory of your name.
Please give us the faith, strength and courage to face hardship and suffering for serving you. Please let us not be discouraged and respond patiently and with joy in such cases, as we know we are serving you. Help us to endure to the end, winning as many of the lost over to you as possible.
Please make us gentle in the face of adversity, to turn the other cheek and not hit back when attacked, be it in body, deed or in word. Let us carry our stripes as badges of honour and let those who attack us be ashamed and convicted of evil: to see nothing but gentle and loving responses worthy of you.
Please give us the faith to let your Holy Spirit do good works through us, to work every kind of good and shun every kind of evil and so we, as your children and ambassadors, give no cause for disrepute and that the world will praise and glorify your name as a result of seeing this.
Please help us to keep growing these fruits and many more. All praise and glory to you Lord Jesus.
